Introduction
In the Aveyron, the still unspoilt heart of Southern France, lies La
Grande Combe. This former farmstead has been standing here for
generations, overlooking the beautiful valley of the River Tarn. The
interior, however, reveals that time has not stood still, for it is
comfortable and elegant with all modern conveniences. This charming
house lies in the shelter of a hill, and has been expertly and
sympathetically restored.
The farmhouse and its buildings are constructed around a classic
courtyard, with its stone waterbasins, shade and privacy. From the
sun-drenched terraces and gardens around the house there are
heart-stopping views over the Tarn valley and wooded hills.
La Grande Combe lies in the “Parc Naturel Régional des Grandes
Causses”, a national park of rugged rock formations, hills and
valleys, with fascinating and varied wildlife throughout the area.
